Williams BMW would like to congratulate Cheshire’s Great Moor County under 14s team for securing the Division 1 title! The Stockport team were presented with the Stockport Metro League trophy on Sunday 15th May 2011. Well done!
The Great Moor County Junior Football Club’s under 14s team made a weekend trip to Holland last month to take part in a tournament which included teams from Germany, Morocco, Belgium and others. The boys and their parents did a significant amount of fund raising to make this journey possible.
Williams BMW are proud sponsors of the team and are happy to hear that they all had a fantastic time. They wore their tracksuits and training kit proudly displaying the Williams logo. The team got to the semi-final in the tournament but unfortunately missed out towards the end, however this was no disgrace as they were participating in an under 15’s age group.
They also played a friendly game against a semi-professional academy team in which they won 5-1! This was the team’s first trip abroad but they hope for it to become an annual occurrence from now on.
